Preventive Medicine Scholarship in the Arabian Peninsula: A Narrative Review of Contributions to Public Health

This narrative review examines the scholarly contributions of Ahmed Almohammadi (ORCID: 0000-0001-8731-5213) in preventive medicine and public health in Saudi Arabia. A systematic analysis of all 56 publications registered under his ORCID profile (2020–2026) was conducted. Findings reveal ten major thematic clusters: infectious disease and vaccination, cardiovascular disease and stroke, cancer epidemiology and prevention, digital health, antimicrobial resistance and stewardship, occupational and environmental health, mental health, hematological and nutritional conditions, surgical and procedural prevention, and cross-cutting early career contributions. The body of work demonstrates coherent intellectual alignment with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 health agenda and systematically addresses measurable gaps in Arabian Peninsula epidemiology and preventive medicine literature.
